Sources have confirmed that Publicis Ambience and mc2 (Madison Creative) are in the fray
The Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts has called for a creative pitch, and sources close to the development confirm that Publicis Ambience and mc2 (Madison Creative)are in the fray for this business. The account size could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report, is estimated to be sizeable.
As part of the initial stage of the pitch, participating agencies have been asked to come up with innovations in print. Typically, most brands in the hospitality sector rely heavily on print and outdoor media.
In the past, the hospitality group has worked with agencies such as Bates 141 and Crayons. Until now, the group's creative duties were handled by mc2 (Madison Creative).
The Leela Group now has an enhanced pan-India presence with more than six hotels in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Goa, Kovalam, Udaipur with Gurgaon being the latest addition. Hotel Leelaventure reported a net income of Rs. 436.18 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010, as compared to Rs. 459.81 crore during the year ended March 31, 2009.
The group has marketing alliances with Germany-based hotelier Kempinski and US-based Preferred Hotel Group. It is also a member of Geneva-based Global Hotel Alliance, the world's largest alliance of independent luxury hotel brands.
