Makemytrip.com is on the look out for a new media-buying agency, to take the company's new communication strategy ahead, post its Initial Public Offering (IPO).

Starcom was the incumbent agency on the account. The pitch process for the selection of an agency is yet to begin.

Mohit Gupta, chief marketing officer, Makemytrip.com, says, "After a hugely successful 2010, when MakeMyTrip established its leadership position in India, we are now embarking on an ambitious growth plan for 2011. We aim to focus on our communication strategy, and are looking at a full-service media-buying agency that has a global proposition and can deliver unique campaigns."

Adds Gupta, "The agency should have the wherewithal to provide a robust media planning strategy, efficient production facilities and application of an appropriate mix of both old and new forms of media." Euro RSCG handles the creative duties for the online travel company.

Founded in April 2000, Makmytrip.com was listed on NASDAQ in August 2010.
