Saatchi & Saatchi appoints Jaibeer Ahmed as vice-president

Ahmed joins the agency from Samsung Electronics, where he looked after the marketing communication for its air-conditioner business.

Saatchi & Saatchi has appointed Jaibeer Ahmed as vice-president. He joins the agency from Samsung Electronics, where he looked after the marketing communication for its air-conditioner business.

Speaking on the appointment, Kamal Basu, chief executive officer (CEO), Saatchi & Saatchi, says in an official communique, "We are aggressively hiring the best-of-class talent. Given Ahmed's passion and maturity, he is an ideal candidate."

About his new role, Ahmed says, "The challenge to grow the Delhi business, a chance to work in a happy and transparent work culture, and the confidence of being around like-minded leaders makes this an exciting opportunity."

Ahmed, who has worked in the advertising industry for more than a decade, has been with some of the top advertising firms like Ogilvy India, Lowe, Draftfcb Ulka, and Rediffusion-Y&R. He started his career with R K Swamy BBDO, where he worked on brands like Dabur and Educare. During his stint at Rediffusion, he handled the Airtel business before being made business head on the LG account. Addtionally, he has worked on some of the most exciting brands including Nestle, SABMiller, All Out, and Whirlpool. Ahmed hails from Kashmir.
