Percept/H ropes in Rajiv Agrawal as ECD

His immediate mandate will be to manage various brands handled from the agency's Delhi office. Agrawal will also work towards acquiring new clients for the branch.

Percept/H has roped in Rajiv Agrawal as executive creative director (ECD). Agrawal, who will be based in Delhi, will report to Ryan Menezes, chief creative officer, Percept/H.

Confirming the news to afaqs!, Ryan Menezes says, "Yes, Agrawal has joined us. He is a stalwart, a great storyteller with a conscience. I am very pleased to have him on board to help make Percept/H a creative force to reckon with in the North."

Amitava Mitra, chief operating officer, Percept/H, Delhi, says, "Agrawal's experience and the kind of background he comes from will add a lot of value to our creative process. Both Percept/H and its clients will benefit and go many notches higher."

Agrawal's immediate mandate will be to manage various brands handled from the Delhi office like Canon, Hero MotoCorp, Delhi Police, and various other government clients. Agrawal will also work towards acquiring new clients for the Delhi branch.

Talking about his own appointment, Agrawal says, "Percept H is a solid agency which will help me showcase my work and skills acquired over the years."

He further adds, "It is an offer which will allow me to function independently, enable me to try out things on my own, and enhance my creative quotient."

Earlier, Agrawal was with Lowe Lintas, Delhi, as the senior creative director, handling various clients like Havells, Polo, Cadbury Eclairs, Maruti Swift Dzire, Maruti Alto, Dabur Honey, Somany Tiles, and Nirula's among others.

Agrawal, who has more than 17 years of experience in advertising, started his career with Ogilvy, followed by Draftfcb Ulka. He subsequently shifted to JWT, followed by his most recent stint at Lowe Lintas.

Over the years, he has handled various brands such as Pepsi, Mountain dew, SBI cards, Horlicks, Monster.com, GE Money, and Hero Honda, to mention a few. He played a major role in the 2009 election campaign for the Congress party.

Agrawal completed his graduation in Mathematics from Kirori Mal College, Delhi, and went on to do an MBA from Lucknow University.
