Saugata Bagchi joins Tribal DDB India as vice-president

Saugata Bagchi has joined Tribal DDB India as vice-president. Bagchi returns to the agency after a gap of five months. Prior to this, he was working with Solutions Digitas as vice-president.

Sandeep Vij, chief executive officer, DDB Mudra, in an official communiqué, says, "Bagchi's domain knowledge, understanding of business requirements, and well-honed people skills make him a valuable asset."

Bagchi, who is looking forward to handle the new responsibilities, says, "I enjoy working across different media boundaries to ensure implementation of core business strategy."

Bagchi, who holds a Bachelor's degree in Geology and Maths from Lucknow University, started his career in 2006, as business development manager with Indegene Lifesystems. After spending seven months there, he moved to Sudler & Hennessey as account director in 2007. He switched to JWT as account director in 2009, and in January 2010, he joined Tribal DDB India as group account director. While there, he was later promoted as associate vice-president. In his last role at the agency, he was largely responsible in developing the agency's technology skill sets.
