Rediffusion-Y&R Kolkata was awarded Agency of the Year (India) and also won three gold, 11 silver and 16 bronze metals. Ogilvy, Bates Kolkata and Genesis won one gold each.
Rediffusion-Y&R Kolkata walked away with Agency of the Year (India) trophy for the second time at the 12th edition of the Sangbad Pratidin Srijon Samman Awards, which was held in Kolkata on March 10.
It also won three gold, 11 silver and 16 bronze metals. The agency won the gold metals in the Integrated Advertising and Outdoor category for its campaign for MTS Mblaze, and in the Radio category for ITC Paperkraft campaign.
The agency's work on MTS Mblaze also bagged the Campaign of the Year award. Jyotishmita Banerjea of Rediffusion-Y&R won the Copywriter of the Year award.
Ogilvy grabbed the second position, winning one gold in the Print category (for Sohaje Shave) campaign for BTC Blade, along with eight silver metals and four bronze metals.

In the third position, Bates Kolkata won one gold metal in the Ambient Media and POP category for (Valentine's Day) campaign for Coca-Cola. the agency also won seven silver metals and eight bronze metals.
Genesis grabbed the fourth place and won one gold in the Print category for its campaign for The Times of India, apart from two bronze metals.
Interestingly, Grey Dhaka made a mark when it won the Agency of the Year (Bangladesh) award. Javed Aktar Suman and Nabila Basher of Grey Dhaka were adjudged Art Directors of the Year.
The agency won five silver and seven bronze metals as well.
Other agencies which also made a mark in the league were Inner Circle, Contract Advertising, O&M Bangladesh, BBH Communications, DDB Mudra and JWT Kolkata.
