Hozefa Alibhai joins 200 Not Out FIILMS as MD

200 not out FIILMS, a Mumbai-based ad film production company, has got in Hozefa Alibhai as its managing director. Alibhai has over 15 years' experience in advertising agencies and now moves to a production house. Alibhai was the head of films division at Publicis Communications between 2007 and 2011. After Publicis, Alibhai had worked briefly with Gobsmack!, a production house.

Speaking to afaqs! about his immediate priorities at the company, Alibhai said that bettering the talent pool and expanding its services are among his primary responsibilities. "We are looking at having international talent on board and broaden our work to include TV shows as well," he says.

Speaking about Alibhai's appointment, Ravi Bhagchandka, president, 200 Not Out, he says that because of Alibhai's dual experience in the agency as well as in production, he made a perfect fit to take the firm forward.

200 Not Out, which was founded two years back, has so far worked for TVCs of clients including Lenovo, Maxx Mobiles, ICICI Prudential and M2k Corporate. The company is now looking to venture into TV shows and also work on feature films. "We are close to launching a reality TV show for an IPL team. Moreover, we are also working on quite a few feature film projects," Ravi Bhagchandka informs.

Among the various films Alibhai has worked on, he is well known for Coca-Cola (Thanda Matlab Coca-Cola), Maggi, Garnier and L'Oreal. He is also among the five Indian jurists at AdFest 2013.

Apollo Bunder Mumbai - 400001, a Naren Multani-Hozefa Alibhai duo film, comprising of six short films based on the terrorist attacks in Mumbai, has been awarded in the Best Film and Best Cinematography categories at Canada's WILDsound Film Festival.
