Bates CHI & Partners to handle creative duties for General Insurance Council

The New Delhi office of the agency will handle the account; its mandate will be to create awareness and penetration.

After a multi agency pitch, General Insurance Council has awarded it creative duties to Bates CHI & Partners. The New Delhi office of the agency will handle the account. Mudra, JWT and a few other agencies were also in the fray for the account.

The account size could not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.

Commenting on the win, Sanjay Thapar, CEO, Bates CHI & Partners India Group, says, "Our mandate will be to create awareness and penetration for the General Insurance Council through our campaigns."

The first campaign will create awareness for the general insurance category and will cover the verticals that fall under the purview of non-life insurance such as health, home, rural and motor insurance.

The campaign will include a mix of radio, print and television and is expected to come out soon.

GIC was formed for the purpose of superintending, controlling and carrying on the business of general insurance. It represents the collective interests of the non-life insurance companies in India and speaks out on issues of common interest; participates in discussions related to policy formulation; and acts as an advocate for high standards of customer service in the insurance industry.

Bates CHI & Partners was formed in November 2012. The agency has produced several campaigns such as Cholbe Na, Night Market, Dot and Singapore Polytechnic.
