DDB Mudra West has appointed Rahul Mathew as creative head. He moves in from McCann Erickson, where he was executive creative director.

Mathew, who has more than 15 years of experience, will report to Sonal Dabral, chairman and COO, DDB Mudra Group. He will also work closely with Rajiv Sabnis, president, DDB Mudra Group West. Appreciating DDB Mudra's "creative culture", Mathew, who began his career in 1998, says in a press statement, "To be appointed as a custodian of such a celebrated culture is both exciting and frightening. With the talented bunch at the agency, Sonal and I hope to make DDB Mudra West one of the brightest stars in the DDB constellation."

Dabral says, "Rahul is just the talent to lead the creative teams in DDB Mudra West. With Andee leading the creative charge in MudraMax, Vipul in DDB Mudra South, Sambit in DDB Mudra North and now Rahul coming in to lead DDB Mudra West, we have a formidable creative leadership in place."

Sabnis feels this appointment will help the team provide "creative business solutions" to its clients. "His experience across brands and the business success and creative recognition his work has received, are the reasons why we are welcoming him into the family today," he adds.
