Swati Bhattacharya Bids Adieu to JWT

Bhattacharya quits after a two-decade long stint at JWT where she had joined as trainee copywriter.

It is the end of a long innings. Swati Bhattacharya, national creative director, JWT India, has put in her papers. Bhattacharya who joined JWT over 21 years ago as a trainee copy-writer, rose to become NCD in 2012.

Swati Bhattacharya Bids Adieu to JWT
Bhattacharya has worked on numerous brands including ITC, Pepsi, Nestle, Unilever during her stint with JWT. Her trademark has been especially noticed in Horlicks which she has worked on in the last 7-8 years.

Incidentally, when afaqs! spoke to her a couple of years back, she had mentioned 'it would take a crane to get her out of JWT', humorously pointing out the long years she has been with the agency. Bhattacharya was promoted from ECD to NCD along with Tista Sen (Mumbai) and Senthil Kumar (South).

Meanwhile, there is also some noise about Surjo Dutt, executive creative director, JWT Delhi leaving the organisation. However, Dutt - who reports to Bhattacharya - did not confirm or deny the news when contacted.

There are also rumours that Sanjeev Bhargava, managing partner, JWT plans on moving out. Bhargava, however, laughed off the rumours. Bhargava, with 17 years experience in the advertising world, worked with Lintas and Draft FCB Ulka before joining JWT in September 2011.
