FCB Ulka's COO Sanjay Tandon quits

He had been elevated as COO in 2011.

Sanjay Tandon, chief operating officer, FCB Ulka has put in his papers ending his six-year long stint, confirmed a senior resource at the agency. This would be his last week at the agency. His next move remains unknown as of now.

Tandon joined FCB Ulka back in 1997 and spent the next seven years handling major accounts such as LML, HP, Samsung, Mother Dairy and British Airways, and rose to the position of client servicing director.

Subsequently, he took up assignments at Bates as vice-president and then at JWT, where he led the business of Nokia, Yamaha and PepsiCo (Flavours and Juices) respectively.

Tandon returned to Draftfcb Ulka in 2009 as senior vice president and was handed over the responsibility to lead the Tata Docomo business. In 2011 he was elevated to the position of COO.

A graduate from St. Stephens College, Delhi, and an MBA from IMT Ghaziabad, he started his career and spent the first few years of his professional life in sales and marketing, before joining the advertising industry. In his over two decade long career, he has handled brands across categories including telecom, automobile, FMCG, health-care, lifestyle, technology and e-commerce.
