Dentsu Communications will now be called Dentsu India, Dentsu Marcom will be called Dentsu One, and Dentsu Creative Impact will be called Dentsu Impact.
To help clients better leverage the capabilities of a global network, Dentsu Aegis Network, in a recent move, has realigned agencies across several countries under three groups.
In India, this is now being manifested in three of its creative agencies being re-branded to better reflect the alignment.
While Dentsu Communications will now be known as Dentsu India, Dentsu Marcom and Dentsu Creative Impact will now be known as Dentsu One and Dentsu Impact, respectively. Taproot Dentsu and Dentsu Webchutney remain unchanged.
Ashish Bhasin, chairman and chief executive officer, Dentsu Aegis Network, India and South Asia, says in a press release, "The new nomenclature is the first step towards expanding and reinforcing the global and regional services we provide our clients in India. It will help us serve our global clients better, as well as help acquire new business."
Commenting further on the change, Bhasin says, "We are consolidating our capabilities under a global agency network, with a uniform identity across markets, in order to strengthen the coordination across our network and expand the high quality service we consistently provide. The most important ingredient in creating innovation in an ever-changing environment is collaboration. The realignment will fuel just that in newer, more efficient ways.
Bhasin feels that the changes will help Dentsu Branded Agencies to further accelerate the tremendous success they have experienced in India over the last one year, including the spectacular performance at the Goafest Awards, as well as in the area of new business."
There is no change in the leadership or staff of the individual units. Simi Sabhaney will continue as chief executive officer and Vipul Thakkar as national creative director of Dentsu India. Harjot Narang will continue as president and Titus Upputuru as national creative director of Dentsu One; Amit Wadhwa will continue as president, and Soumitra Karnik as national creative director of Dentsu Impact.
Narayan Devanathan continues as Group executive and strategy officer of Dentsu Branded Agencies, India.
