Lenskart recently unveiled its first TVC with digital super star and brand ambassador Bhuvan Bam to launch a new range of eyewear – AIR. The ad campaign will be aired across television, digital platforms such as YouTube and social media.
Bam recently featured in Pizza Hut's ad campaign, making him the first digital influencer to appear on an Indian TV commercial as the protagonist. For Lenskart, Bam is the brand's first male brand ambassador, and the first internet celebrity to feature in a brand campaign.
The campaign is built upon the message of taking things lightly and not to be weighed down by life's challenges. Bam pulls off the role of a casual optimistic guy, who does not let circumstances bring him down, he puffs away multiple frames as incidents unravel before him.
Bam joined hands with Lenskart earlier this year. Since then, he has endorsed the brand multiple times on his social media handles through his signature short films.
Bam’s digital career took off after his first video, a sarcastic vine in which he played an insensitive reporter, went viral. He then started his own channel in 2015, named 'BB Ki Vines' where he began uploading videos of himself depicting multiple characters typically in comic conversations with each other. The idea took off. Currently, Bam's channel has garnered more than 15 million subscribers and about 2 billion views. Bam has repeatedly said, he’s often approached to endorse different brands, but he chooses only those that reflect his philosophy.
Digital growth has made influencer marketing possible in a way that wasn't perceived before. With a plethora of brands investing heavily into this marketing tactic, the strategy has helped brands reach out to distinct, yet significant pockets of people.
Currently, Bam is associated with seven brands in addition to Lenskart.

Arctic Fox, a bags manufacturing company, roped in Bam as their first ever brand ambassador in April of 2019.
Beardo is a men's grooming brand founded in 2015.
3. Tasty Treat
Indian confectionery brand, Tasty Treat has often been promoted on Bam's Instagram boomerangs and casual pictures.
Indian electronics brand, Mivi joined hands with Bam in August of 2018. In his own comic way, Bam promotes the brand's speakers. Seen in the video below he is negotiating with a robber.
5. Pizza Hut
Bam looks visibly thrilled in Pizza Hut's latest ad outing. This film marks the entry of a digital influencer as the protagonist of a TV commercial.
Bhuvan has endorsed Swiss luxury watchmaker, Tissot numerous times on his social media, often boasting the lavish wrist watches in candid pictures.
