Lifebuoy says its “virus fighter” can save you thousands in medical expenses

Lifebuoy, Unilever’s soap brand, has said that it can help people save thousands of rupees in medical expenses via its Rs 10 “Lifebuoy virus fighter”, if you follow “good hygiene habits.”

The soap brand recently announced a partnership with Practo, the leading online doctor consultation app, wherein Lifebuoy asked people to give a missed call to (the mobile number) 99469 99469.

Once they did, they’d receive an SMS from Practo with a link. And when you clicked on it, “you could consult India’s top doctors from the comfort of your home” for free.

In March this year, it cautioned people against complacency just because COVID-induced lockdowns weren’t in force. It is a message that will have value, considering the frequent lockdown orders various states pass from time to time to stop the spread of the Coronavirus.
