Subrata Roy quits Neo@Ogilvy
Roy has more than 13 years of work experience. Of that, he has spent about five years at Ogilvy India. He joined Ogilvy in November 2005 as group head, digital media planning and was later promoted to associate media director in 2007. In 2008, he became media director.

Prior to Ogilvy India, he was with Business Standard as senior manager, digital business for about one-and-a-half years. Before that, at Sahara Group, which he joined in 1997, Roy was responsible for the corporate communication and public relations function.

For the record, Ogilvy India has seen two other major exits in the last few months. Prasanth Mohanachandran, who was executive director, digital services, Neo@Ogilvy and OgilvyOne (the direct and digital marketing arm of the Ogilvy network) and Kaizad Pardiwala, president, OgilvyOne, left the agency a few months back.

Mohanachandran has started a digital agency named AgencyDigi in partnership with Karl Gomes; while Pardiwala has joined Bates141 as executive vice-president.

Last month, Ogilvy India had promoted Kunal Jeswani, head, planning, new media, OgilvyAction and OgilvyOne as country head, OgilvyOne and Neo@Ogilvy.
