BigFlicks introduces India's first online video on demand service

The newly-launched BigFlix plus will allow subscribers to view desired movies in high definition across devices at a subscription fee of Rs 249 per month.

BigFlicks, a part of Reliance Group's digital entertainment business, has launched India's first online movie-on-demand service BigFlix plus. The service will allow users to click and play more than 500 movies across various platforms like PCs, tablets, and mobiles for a subscription fee.

Touted as a user's 'personal blockbuster theatre', BigFlix plus allows the user to stream and download HD (High Definition) quality content for a subscription fee of Rs 249 per month by logging into www. Bigflixplus.com. The service gives movie buffs in India the option to view content at their preferred time, sans advertisements, across all devices such as desktop computers, tablets, smartphones, and smart TVs.

Commenting on the launch, Manish Agarwal, chief operating officer, digital, Reliance Entertainment, says, "BigFlix plus is the first movies-on-demand subscription service, which offers a vast choice of high definition quality movies to the net-savvy movie buffs in India, at their convenience, across all internet-connected devices. We are looking at replicating NetFlix in India. To provide this world class experience, we have invested heavily to develop the movies-on-demand ecosystem spanning across products, distribution, and content."

BigFlix plus offers an extensive HD-quality movie library in Hindi, English, and several regional languages. Keeping in mind the net-savvy users, BigFlix plus has been made available on iOS, Android devices, smart TVs, tablets, and mobiles to enable subscribers to watch movies across devices, irrespective of their location.
