Maxus restructures digital team

The media agency's digital arm has promoted Vishal Jacob as head of digital strategy and named new heads for Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Maxus Digital, the digital arm of Maxus, a global media agency, has strengthened its leadership team with some key hires as well as internal changes. Vishal Jacob, who was earlier digital lead in the West, is now promoted as head of digital strategy. Jacob will continue to be based in Mumbai and will focus on new product initiatives. Before joining Maxus in 2010, he was head of digital at Mindshare Malaysia.

Meanwhile, Punit Singh has joined Maxus as digital lead in North and will be based in Gurgaon. Earlier, Singh was head of digital at BBDO Proximity. With more than 10 years of experience, Singh has also had stints at Tribal DDB, Reliance Media Works, Indigo Consulting and a technology start up, E2 Solutions.

In a related development, Sairam Ranganathan, who was till recently the digital lead for Maxus Bengaluru, will take over Jacob's role in Mumbai, while Venkatesh Kamath will be the new digital lead for Maxus Bengaluru.

Speaking on these changes, Unny Radhakrishnan, head of digital, Maxus South Asia, says, "Maxus' digital services have grown significantly in the last few years. These changes will go a long way in improving our product and service while contributing to our clients' business."
