MEC India further strengthens its team by announcing the appointment of Tanushree Radhakrishnan as digital head, North India. She will head the North division and will report to Vishal Chinchankar, digital leader, MEC.

Before MEC, Radhakrishnan was with Performics (Publicis Groupe) as associate vice-president. In an official communiqué, Chinchankar adds, "Tanushree is a very seasoned professional. Her in-depth knowledge and experience in managing major clients across verticals in the digital space is much valued and is well-resourced to maximise the ROI of our clients."

Radhakrishnan comes with more than 10 years of experience, most of which was spent in the digital world. She has worked with major clients in all the active verticals in the online business, including travel (Makemytrip and Clear trip), IT (HP and Microsoft), telecom (Airtel and Uninor), BFSI (ICICI and Aviva) and FMCG (Nestle and Reckitt Benckiser). She has worked across display domains; search, social and mobile.

Radhakrishnan expresses her excitement about working in an integrated marketing environment, which has been the crux of the growth of all GroupM agencies. "I look forward to working with MEC and use my digital experience and skills to grow the digital pie of the business in the North," she adds.

Radhakrishnan started her career in audit and planning at ABN AMRO in 2001. After a short stint of 11 months, she moved to Master's Collection as marketing executive and stayed there for 10 months. In 2005, she had another stint in Carat Media, after which she joined Webchutney in 2005 as SEM analyst. She was promoted to the role of account manager in the company in about six months. She finally quit Webchutney as group head, Performics International and group head, search engine in 2008.

Subsequently, she joined Zed Digital as group head, media and stayed there for five years, quitting the company as media director in 2013. She also worked for Performics for a short period as associate vice-president.
