Policybazaar.com makes two senior appointments

Naveen Kukreja of Aviva Life Insurance and Satkam Divya, who started Rupeetalk.com, join as marketing head of non insurance business and associate director, mobile commerce business, respectively.

Naveen Kukreja, who was senior vice-president, marketing and strategy at Aviva Life Insurance, has joined the portal as group chief marketing officer & Director for the non-insurance business. It has also appointed Satkam Divya as associate director; he will look after the mobile commerce business."

Speaking on the new appointments, Yashish Dahiya, CEO and co-founder, Policybazaar.com, says, "I am sure Naveen and Satkam's rich experience will further strengthen our business. Naveen has a rare combination of very strong expertise across financial services, digital, analytics and marketing. I am sure that with his knowledge and understanding of the sector, it will help us reinforce our leadership position in the industry."

As for the skills that Divya will bring to the table, Dahiya says Policybazaar is focusing on the mobile platform and Divya's expertise will not only exploit the potential of the platform but also grow the business.

With nearly 13 years of experience in the financial services sector, Kukreja has worked with Capital One Bank in the UK and Citibank in India. He is an alumnus of Delhi College of Engineering and IIM Calcutta.

Meanwhile, Divya has more than nine years of experience and has also worked with companies in the financial services vertical. He started his own venture, Rupeetalk.com (a personal finance portal), in 2007. The venture merged with NetAmbit, a financial product distribution company, and Divya took on the role of senior vice-president, e-business, marketing and mortgages. He has also worked for Times Financial Services, ICICI Bank and United Breweries.

Divya is also an engineer with a post graduate diploma from IIM Lucknow.

Policybazaar was set up in 2008 and provides comparison of various offerings in financial products such as life insurance, general insurance, loans and credit cards. The company has partnered with loan and insurance dispersing financial institutions. Policybazaar is backed by InfoEdge (Naukri.com), Intel Capital and Inventus Capital Investee Company. The company claims to have more than 20 million unique visitors every year.
