The official YouTube channel of Yash Raj Films (YRF), a leading film production company, has crossed over a billion views. The channel is currently home to over 4,000 videos.

According to a statement released by the company, the channel is currently ranked No.1 in India, in the film and animation category; parameters for the ranking include maximum number of channel video views and channel subscribers.

Speaking on the feat, Anand Gurnani, vice president (digital), says, "We place a lot of focus on YouTube trends and video optimisation through tags and meta-data and annotations... YouTube has been one of the key channels of content dissemination for movie marketing and will continue to be."

Since its inception, the channel has consistently aired a stream of new videos. From "massy content" and "musical hits" to "new age content" like audio-video juke box, lyrical videos, interviews and behind-the-scenes episodes, the channel offers a wide variety of content.

YRF's YouTube presence is furthered by its sub-channels - YRF Movies, YRF Songs, YRF Trailers, YRF Dialogues, YRF Trivia, and some regional channels.

The company claims its YouTube network holds a collection of over 40 sub-channels with over three million subscribers.
