Kothari joined the company earlier this year as chief business officer.
Housing.com, a real-estate platform, has announced the appointment of Jason Kothari as its new chief executive officer. Kothari, who joined the company in the capacity of chief business officer in August this year, has been unanimously appointed to the new position by the Board of directors.
Ever since he took over in August, Kothari has played an instrumental role in a number of key initiatives, including establishing a strong senior management team for the company by hiring chief financial officer Mani Rangarajan, general counsel Nandini Mehta, and chief marketing officer Nikhil Rungta. He has also helped strike a strategic partnership with MCHI and CREDAI, as well as been responsible for the launch of the first-of-its-kind product brand Falcon, among others.
Prior to joining Housing.com, he was the co-founder and CEO of Valiant Entertainment, where he led the successful acquisition and turnaround of the video game company Acclaim Entertainment.
Kothari holds a B.Sc degree from the University of Pennsylvania's The Wharton School, where he served as a guest lecturer on the subject of entrepreneurship and venture capital.
