This year, GITF has partnered with brands across travel and hospitality sectors such as PayTM, MakeMyTrip, Yatra, The Leela Palaces, SpiceJet, AirAsia, and Jet Airways. On offer are deals with up to 70 per cent off and cash back worth up to Rs 50,000 on holiday, flight, and hotel packages in India and abroad.

Talking about GITF-2, Amardeep Singh, CEO, IPG MAP, says, "The digital upheaval has ushered in new consumer behaviour when it comes to buying travel products and interacting with brands. The GITF is a fabulous platform for Indian consumers looking for good holiday destinations at affordable prices. This year, we have made it bigger and better with more partners and will offer a superior experience to travellers."

The 'Travel Consumer 2015' research report by the multinational professional services firm Deloitte states, "Travel has changed from a seller's to a buyer's market and it has never been more important for businesses to understand consumer needs and expectations." Going by the changing trends in the sector, the GITF has been conceptualised as an attempt to boost online holiday bookings in India.
