Online marketplace Snapdeal has announced the appointment of Kanika Kalra as vice-president - marketing.

Kalra, who is a seasoned global marketing professional with a career spanning over 12 years, joins Snapdeal after her eight-year-stint as global brand director at Hindustan Unilever Limited, where she spearheaded key innovations in the skincare category. Besides, HUL, she has also worked for Pepsico, and GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare.

At Snapdeal, Kalra will focus on making the business more customer-centric, ensuring creativity and impact in all communications.

Kalra holds a Post-Graduate degree in Marketing from IIM, Lucknow, and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Delhi University.
