Tripstr will help travellers explore new destinations.
Tripstr, the latest digital campaign by DDB Mudra Group for Broken Compass is a Google Chrome extension that helps one visit any picture on Flickr and Instagram. Broken Compass is a travel venture which specialises in planning and executing customised travel plans for individuals and groups.
Until now, travellers across the world have been visiting destinations that have been explored before as current interfaces of travel bookings are just flight searches for a user's pre-decided destination. Tripstr attempts to break this conventional way of travelling by altering the interface itself. And, what's more it's all free.
It does this by simply finding the location of the image, and then searching for the nearest airports. User can then directly book flights, or just add the place to their watch list and set a price alert to take advantage of price drops. They could also contact Broken Compass to request an itinerary to their location of interest.
Commenting on this innovation, Sonal Dabral, chairman and chief creative officer, DDB Mudra Group, says in a press release, "Tripstr is the kind of work you will not expect an ad agency to do and that's what I'm really proud of. It's a testimony to the kind of talent we now have at DDB Mudra Group and where we are heading. A place full of passionate, energetic, out-of-the-box thinkers who are not content at making ads, but are every day, using their creativity to solve our clients' business problems -- whatever shape or form the solution takes."
Sharing his views on Tripstr, Rahul Mathew, creative head, DDB Mudra West, says in a press release, "Tripstr stands testimony to the fact that the solutions for our clients' business can, or should, no longer be limited to communication. Broken Compass talks to a mindset, and through this Google Chrome Extension we put them in touch with people of this mindset."
