nexGTv expands its content library, strikes alliance with Culture Machine

The alliance will enable nexGTv subscribers to access all channels of Culture Machine.

The subscription-led video entertainment (SVOD) platform nexGTv has tied up with India's digital media firm Culture Machine to feature its content on the platform. nexGTv subscribers will now be able to access and watch various digital channels such as Being Indian, Put Chutney, Blush, Epified, All Access, Awesome Sauce, VIVA Channel, Whack, Old Delhi Films, and Rascalas.

The latest addition augments nexGTv's diverse entertainment offerings which includes over 130 live regional and national TV channels, and underlines its commitment to showcase more international web-based content on its platform.

Dushyant Kohli, head -- growth, nexGTv, says in a press release, "nexGTv has gained a lot of traction within the young and active internet user base. Keeping its interests in mind, we have tied up with Culture Machine to acquire the worldwide rights to its (Culture Machine) vast gamut of creative offerings. We are positive that our users will actively enjoy the invigorating new content. The partnership will further bolster our new-age digital content collection and commitment to continuously enrich the offerings for our viewers."

Further elaborating on the same, Tuhin Menon, head -- business development and talent, Culture Machine, says, "Culture Machine's goal is to build great media brands that people love. We are excited at the opportunity to expand our footprint to nexGTv."

Culture Machine's content is available on YouTube too, and its non-exclusivity is not something that bothers nexGTv at this moment. "We are not in the race for exclusivity at this stage. We would like to have content partners whose content is available elsewhere too, as is the case with Culture Machine," says Abhesh Verma, chief operating officer, nexGTv.
