The multi-year content deal enables Amazon Prime Video subscribers to access all Green Gold Animation content.

Amazon and Green Gold Animation have together announced a multi-year content deal which will make Amazon Prime Video India the exclusive subscription streaming home for all of Green Gold Animation's future TV episodes and TV movies of its marquee properties Chhota Bheem, Super Bheem, and Mighty Raju. With this deal, the properties will be available on a streaming platform for the first time ever.

Prime members in India will also have access to Green Gold Animation's library consisting of shows and movies such as Krishna Balaram, Chorr Police, Luv Kush, Vikram and Betaal, and Krishna. The deal will also enable Amazon subscribers to access Chhota Bheem Himalayan Adventure (the theatrical release of Chhota Bheem).

"The partnership will offer Amazon Prime members the very best content for their kids to watch," says Nitesh Kripalani, director and country head, Amazon Video India. "This is the first step to exclusively bring the best-in-class kids' entertainment to children in India," he adds.

"We are excited that Chhota Bheem, India's No.1 kids' show for the last nine years will now be available on Amazon Prime Video. Indian kids will now have better digital experience with our imaginative content as they can now view their favourite show when they want and where they want," says Rajiv Chilaka, founder and chief executive officer, Green Gold Animation.

Viacom18's digital platform VOOT has already announced its plans to tap in to the kids' market with VOOT Kids and now with global player Amazon signing a deal with the Indian studio Green Gold Animation to have access to its content clearly signifies that India is emerging as a lucrative market when it comes to kids' content consumption. It remains to be seen how things shape up and if toddlers fall for the digital toy.
