Viral Now: Meanwhile, Samsung's #SapneHueBade video attracts over 4.6 million views on YouTube

Uploaded on October 10, 2016, the Cheil India-created film is based on the real life story of Sadanand Ugale.

Until not very long ago, ambition was confined within geographical parametres. A 'blacksmith's' teenage son, living somewhere in the hinterland of Jharkhand, seldom dreamt about becoming a pilot. Similarly, for a fisherman's daughter living in the Naxal-ridden area of Maharashtra, education was just a warm-up to her wedding, as ambition was synonymous to tying the knot.

But, the fast evolution of technology has somehow managed to change all that. Google has pushed horizons, and uploads of others' achievements on social media have enhanced the confidence of those who never dared to even dream, and all with a swipe of the finger. But, the flip side? It's resulted in families being deserted by their next generation, as the younger lot is all set to pursue its dreams and move out of the vicinity.

Smartphone manufacturing giant Samsung, a brand which is currently facing a somewhat rough patch, has launched a video titled Samsung's Smart Class Film, a part of its #SapneHueBade campaign. The film, which was uploaded on October 10, 2016, has garnered over 4.6 million views on YouTube so far.

The video, which features a boy called Sadanand Ugale hailing from the remote village of Chinchada in Maharashtra, has been created by Cheil India, and is part of Samsung's CSR initiative.

Ugale, who is away to pursue his ambition to become a doctor, is a student of Samsung Smart Class in Kannad, Maharashtra. Samsung Smart Class provides modern education to over two lakh students at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. It's Ugale's birthday and his mother cooks his favourite sweetmeat, while his disgruntled father cringes as his son is not beside him. The parents decide to go see him, and therefore, travel all the way crossing paddy fields, river, and road, and reach his school only to find that he is going away to Australia for further studies.

The parents break down, but are also happy for him. When his father asks him what he plans to do once back from Australia, he replies humbly that once he turns a doctor, he will return to the village forever. The father beams with pride and happiness and on his way back to the village, in reply to the bus driver's question as to what he found in town, he says, "Heera (Diamond)."
