New Update

Perplexity AI, backed by Nvidia, has launched Comet, an AI-powered web browser that aims to transform how users interact with the internet. Instead of the traditional search-and-click model, Comet introduces a conversational and task-oriented approach, acting more like a digital assistant than a standard browser.

Comet allows users to ask complex questions, compare information, schedule meetings, send emails, and even summarise entire webpages. The browser also introduces features aimed at boosting productivity and curiosity. Users can highlight text for instant explanations, explore related ideas without losing their place, and even ask for counterpoints or missing perspectives on any topic.

The company highlights its commitment to delivering reliable information to support better decision-making, whether users are comparing insurance plans, researching investments, or simply exploring new ideas.

Currently, Comet is available to Perplexity Max subscribers with access rolling out gradually via an invite-only waitlist this summer. New users will also receive limited invites to share.
