STARDEN to distribute NDTV channels

NDTV has signed a distribution deal with STARDEN for the distribution of four of its channels - NDTV 24x7, NDTV Profit, NDTV India and NDTV Good Times.

STARDEN, the 50:50 joint venture between STAR India and DEN, has entered into a distribution agreement with NDTV (New Delhi Television Limited) to distribute four of the latter's channels across various distribution platforms. Prior to this, NDTV channels were being distributed by TheOneAlliance, a brand of MSM Discovery.

As part of the agreement, STARDEN will handle distribution of NDTV 24x7 (English news channel), NDTV Profit (24 hour business channel), NDTV India (Hindi news channel) and NDTV Good Times (lifestyle channel).

Gurjeev Singh Kapoor, chief executive officer, STARDEN, in a release, says, "It's great news for all of us as our partnership marks the coming together of two powerhouses. The viewers shall be enthralled to get better quality programming. We welcome NDTV as a part of our family and are sure that this association shall achieve many milestones."

STARDEN currently distributes 30 channels across India.
