RAM Week 13: Radio Mirchi dethroned in Delhi and Mumbai; Mirchi topples Big FM in Bengaluru

AIR FM2-Gold and Radio City gain in Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai to grab the top positions.

The Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for Week 13 is out. Here is an update on the four RAM markets.

Mumbai

Radio City topples Radio Mirchi in the city, and holds a market share of 15.5 per cent, registering a gain of 2.8 percentage points over the previous week. Its average market share for the last four weeks stands at 13.5 per cent.

AIR FM2-Gold is still at No. 2 with a market share of 15.4 per cent, registering a gain of 1.2 percentage points. Its last four weeks' average market share is 13.4 per cent.

Radio Mirchi moves down to No. 3 and has a market share of 15.2 per cent, registering a loss of 1.3 percentage points. Its last four weeks' average market share is 16.1 per cent.

Big FM is at the fourth position in Mumbai with a market share of 13 per cent; its last four weeks' average market share is 13.3 per cent.

Red FM is at No. 5 with a market share of 12.8 per cent, registering a loss of 0.7 percentage points. The station's average market share for the last four weeks is 13.2 per cent.

Fever FM is at No. 6 in the city with a market share of 6.3 per cent, registering a loss of 1.3 percentage points. The station's average market share for the last four weeks is 7.3 per cent.

Radio One is placed seventh with a market share of 5.3 per cent, having lost 0.4 percentage points in the past week. Vividh Bharati follows with a market share of 4.8 per cent, losing 0.1 percentage points.

Among the other stations in Mumbai in Week 13, AIR FM1-Rainbow has a market share of 4.7 per cent, followed by Oye! FM with 3.9 per cent and Akashavani Mumbai with 3.2 per cent market share.

Delhi

AIR FM2-Gold again grabs the first position, toppling Radio Mirchi in Delhi, registering a market share of 21.2 per cent, and a gain of 0.3 percentage points. The radio station's average market share for the last four weeks is 19.2 per cent.

This week, Radio Mirchi comes down to the second position with a market share of 20.7 per cent, registering a loss of 2 percentage points. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 20.2 per cent.

Fever FM is at No. 3 with a market share of 16.7 per cent, registering a gain of 2.9 percentage points. The radio station's average market share for the last four weeks is 19.9 per cent.

Radio City and Red FM have secured the fourth and fifth positions, respectively, with market shares of 10 per cent and 8.5 per cent. The former lost 1.2 percentage points, while the latter lost 0.8 percentage points as compared to last week. The average market shares for the stations for the last four weeks are 10.2 per cent and 9 per cent, respectively.

Big FM is still at No. 5, registering a market share of 7.6 per cent with a gain of 0.7 percentage points. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 6.9 per cent.

Radio One, at No. 6, has registered a market share of 5.9 per cent, registering a loss of 0.5 percentage points. The station's previous weeks' share was 5.4 per cent.

In Week 13, AIR FM1-Rainbow and Oye! FM have garnered market shares of 2.7 per cent and 2.6 per cent, respectively. The average market shares of the stations for the last four weeks are 2.3 per cent and 2.9 per cent, respectively.

Next in line is HIT 95 FM, with a market share of 2.1 per cent; Vividh Bharati Delhi registered 1.7 per cent market share, while Akashavani Delhi registered 0.5 per cent.

Bengaluru

Radio Mirchi dethrones Big FM to lead the pack in Bengaluru with a market share of 18.5 per cent, registering a gain of 0.2 percentage points. The station's average market share for the last four weeks stands at 17.7 per cent.

Big FM settles at No. 2 with a market share of 18.3 per cent, registering a loss of 0.4 percentage points. Its average market share for the last four weeks stands at 18.3 per cent.

Radio City is at No. 3 and has a market share of 15.3 per cent, registering a gain of 1.6 percentage points, as compared to the previous week. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 14.8 per cent.

Red FM is still at the fourth position with a market share of 11 per cent, which is 0.6 percentage points more than that of last week.

AIR FM1-Rainbow moves up to No. 5, with a market share of 9.1 per cent, which is 0.3 percentage points less compared to last week's rating.

At No. 6, Fever FM has a market share of 8.8 per cent, registering a gain of 0.3 percentage points.

Radio One slips down to the seventh position with a market share of 8.6 per cent, registering a loss of 1.5 percentage points.

AIR FM1-Vividh Bharati has a market share of 7 per cent, registering a loss of 0.5 percentage points, as compared to Week 12.

Among the other stations in Bengaluru in Week 13 are Radio Indigo, which has a market share of 2.7 per cent, followed by Gyan Vani (0.3 per cent).

Kolkata

Radio Mirchi leads in the city with a market share of 20.8 per cent, registering a gain of 0.6 percentage points compared to the previous week. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 21.4 per cent.

Big FM and Friends FM are placed second and third, respectively. Big FM has a market share of 16.8 per cent and Friends FM has a market share of 13.4 per cent. The radio stations' average market shares for the last four weeks are 16.4 per cent and 13.7 per cent, respectively.

Aamar FM holds the fourth position with a market share of 13.1 per cent, registering a loss of 0.6 percentage points, as compared to the previous week. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 13.2 per cent.

Fever FM occupies the fifth place in the city, with a market share of 9.9 per cent. Its average market share for the last four weeks is 9 per cent.

Red FM and Radio One are next in line, with market shares of 8 per cent and 4.3 per cent, respectively. While the former lost 0.1 percentage points, the latter gained 0.4 percentage points. Oye! FM follows with a market share of 3.7 per cent.

In Week 13, among the other stations in Kolkata, AIR FM2-Gold has a market share of 3.2 per cent, followed by AIR FM1-Rainbow (2.9 per cent), Power FM (1.8 per cent), and Akashavani (1.4 per cent).
