Sunil Mutreja named ED at Amar Ujala

Mutreja, president -- marketing, Amar Ujala, has been associated with the publication since May 2007.

Amar Ujala Publications has elevated Sunil Mutreja to the post of executive director. Prior to the elevation, Mutreja was president - marketing, in the company. As executive director, Mutreja will continue to handle his earlier portfolio, as well.

Mutreja has been associated with the publishers of the Hindi daily Amar Ujala since 2007. In his new role, Mutreja will report to the board of directors, and will continue to be based in the company's corporate office at Noida.

Prior to joining Amar Ujala, Mutreja was in Muscat, as the chief executive officer (CEO) of the Advertising International Corporation LLC (ADINC) Y&R (a joint venture between Omzest Group and Young & Rubicam) for a year.

With over 28 years of experience, Mutreja started his career with The Times of India (TOI). He was with the TOI for four years, following which he became associate vice-president at Times TV for a year. He also worked as CEO with Channel Nine Entertainment, an ad filmmaking company. He has led the Rajasthan circle for Dainik Bhaskar as well, where he was responsible for looking after various functions of the daily. He was associated with Dainik Bhaskar for one-and-half years.
