The newspaper is published by The Printers (Mysore). According to sources, the Delhi edition of Deccan Herald is expected to be launched with an initial print run of around 15,000 copies. In Delhi, the newspaper will compete with a host of well-established English dailies including The Times of India, Hindustan Times, The Hindu, The Pioneer, Asian Age, and The Indian Express.

The launch plans of the daily in Delhi are being tightly guarded, with the management of Deccan Herald unwilling to divulge details of the launch. "We are still working on the finer details," says a top company official.

The daily publishes a host of supplements including Sunday Herald, Articulations, Economy and Business, Science and Technology, Avenues, Sportscene, MetroLife, Spectrum, Living, and Open Sesame.

The newspaper is published from five cities in Karnataka including Bengaluru, Hubli, Mysore, Belur, Mangalore, and Gulbarga. While the Belur printing facility comes out with four editions, catering to Bellary, Koppal, Raichur, Bijapur, Bagalkot, Davangere, Belgaum, Haveri, Gadag and Dharwad, the Mangalore facility publishes two editions which serve Chikmagalur, Shimoga, Kodagu, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Kasargod. The Gulbarga plant has two editions which together cater to the districts of Raichur, Bidar, parts of Bijapur, and Gulbarga.

The Deccan Herald was established in 1948. The Printers (Mysore) also publishes three publications in Kannada including Prajavani (the daily), Sudha (the weekly magazine) and Mayura (the monthly magazine).
