Riding on the back of the Golden Petal Awards, Colors, the flagship Hindi GEC from the Viacom18 stable, has moved ahead of Sony to occupy the second spot for the week ended December 31, 2011.
The channel has clocked a TVR of 256, up from the 218 GRPs that it had registered in the previous week, while its relative channel share has moved up from 16 per cent in Week 52, to 18.9 per cent in Week 53.
Meanwhile, despite a fall to the No. 3 spot, Sony Entertainment has registered a 5-GRP growth over the previous week, to close the week with 240 GRPs in its pocket (TAM, C&S 4+, HSM). Its relative share, too, has grown from 17.3 per cent, to 17.7 per cent.
Star Plus continues to rule the roost with 325 GRPs and 24 per cent market share. In the previous week, Star Plus had clocked 344 GRPs, while its market share stood at 25.2 per cent.
Zee TV, which continues to be at No. 4, has lost 14 points, to end the week with 194 GRPs. Its relative channel share has also slipped from 15.3 per cent, to 14.3 per cent.
SAB TV is at No. 5, with a share of 8.3 per cent (9 per cent in the previous week). Its GRPs have fallen from 122 points, to 113 points.

Sahara One is at No. 8 with 2.6 per cent share, as compared to 2.9 per cent in Week 52, while its GRPs have fallen from 39 to 35 this week.
STAR Utsav follows next at No. 9 with 29 GRPs (26 GRPs in Week 52), and 2.1 per cent (1.9 per cent in Week 52) market share.
DD1, with 1 per cent share (0.9 per cent in the previous week), and 13 GRPs (12 points in the previous week), is at No. 10.
Zee Smile follows next with 4 GRPs, and 0.3 per cent channel share.
Saathiya Saath Nibhana (Star Plus) leads the list of the 10 most-watched programmes, clocking a TVR of 6.01, followed by Diya Aur Baati Hum and Colors Golden Petal Awards, with TVRs of 6 and 4.98, respectively.
The fourth most-watched programme is Balika Vadhu, with 4.92 TVR. BIG STAR Entertainment Awards 11-12 (4.63 TVR) and Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai (Colors, 4.33 TVR) follow next. C.I.D., Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Is Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, and Crime Patrol are also part of the Top 10 list.
