Anant is expected to join the Chennai-based media company in the first week of February.
According to sources close to the development, Kasturi & Sons, the publishers of the Chennai-based English daily The Hindu, has roped in Arun Anant as the new CEO for the daily. Anant is expected to join in the first week of February.

Anant joins in from IncValue, a management consulting that advises promoters and private equity companies post investment, and which was co-founded by him. The move comes in following N Ram's decision to quit as the editor-in-chief and publisher of The Hindu.
With more than 20 years of experience, Anant holds a PGDM degree from IIM, Ahmedabad, and has also done his B Tech in IT from BHU, Varanasi. During his career, Anant has worked with UTV News (now Bloomberg UTV) as its CEO, and Bennett Coleman & Company Limited (BCCL) as vice-president. He has also worked with IRIS, Lintas Worldwide (Lowe & Partners), and Hindustan Petroleum.
For the record, The Hindu is published from Chennai, Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Madurai, Hubli, Kochi, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Mangalore, Tiruchirapalli, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Mohali, and Allahabad.
