TV Today makes three senior level appointments

Rahul Kumar Shaw and Vikram Das join TV Today senior management as vice-president, ad sales, Headlines Today and general manager, international distribution, TV Today Network, respectively.

After taking on-board Joy Chakraborthy as CEO in October 2011, TV today has made fresh appointments as a part of its growth agenda. The exercise aims to enhance its ad sales and distribution networks, globally. While Vikram Das has been appointed general manager, international distribution, TV Today; Rahul Kumar Shaw has been roped in as vice-president, ad sales, Headlines Today.

TV Today makes three senior level appointments

Das will report to Chakraborthy. Earlier, Das was senior vice-president, international and syndication, Nimbus Sports. He will head the international distribution of all the channels in the TV Today network. He has also worked with the STAR Network in Dubai, UAE and ABN AMRO Bank, Dubai.

Shaw will report to Rajnish Rikhy, senior vice-president, ad sales and business head, Headlines Today and will be responsible for Headlines Today sales. Prior to this, he has worked with ZEEL, INX News, NDTV Imagine, STAR India, SET India, Turner International and BCCL. At ZEEL, he was senior vice-president, sales since March, 2009.

Chakraborthy says that he expects the new team to script a rapid growth and take TV Today Network to newer heights. Confirming the appointments, he says, "We are thrilled to add the new members to an existing very strong team at the TV Today network. With their strong skill sets in the three core functions, the network will be strategically placed to consolidate and grow the leadership position. The industry is competitive and only solid planning and speed of execution will win."
