Riding on the back of the hour-long Monday maha-episodes, Zee TV has moved up the GRP ladder to occupy the third spot. The channel has registered 222 GRPs for the week ended February 25.
According to TAM (C&S 4+, HSM), Zee TV's relative share has moved up from 13.8 per cent to 16.5 per cent in the current week, while its GRP score was 222 points. The channel aired special one hour episodes of Pavitra Rishta and Mrs Kaushik ki Paanch Bahuein on Monday, February 20. Also, the Maha Monday episode of Pavitra Rishta helped the show to re-enter the Top 10 list after a two-week gap.
Meanwhile, Colors has slipped to the No. 4 spot, despite adding 7 points to its kitty over the previous week. It garnered 200 GRPs in Week 8. The relative share of the channel, however, saw a slight decline - a fall from 15 per cent to 14.9 per cent.
Star Plus, the flagship Hindi GEC (general entertainment channel) from the STAR stable, continues to retain its No. 1 spot, despite a fall in GRPs and channel share. The channel garnered 279 GRPs, down from the 298 GRPs that it had gathered in Week 7. The channel's relative share, too, slipped from 23.1 per cent to 20.7 per cent.
Standing at No. 2, Sony registered 227 GRPs, adding 17 extra points to its previous week's score. Courtesy the Filmfare Awards 2012, the channel's relative share has increased from 16.3 per cent in the previous week to 16.8 per cent in the current week.
SAB TV, at No. 5, has registered 134 GRPs, moving down from 141 GRPs, with a relative share of 9.9 per cent (10.9 per cent in Week 7).
SAB TV is followed by Life OK at No. 6; the channel has recorded a relative share of 6 per cent and 81 GRPs (up from 78 GRPs in Week 7).
Imagine TV is at No. 7; the channel's relative share has increased from 4.5 per cent to 4.7 per cent in Week 8. The channel also saw a GRP increase from 58 GRPs in Week 7 to 63 GRPs in the current week.
Sahara One, at No. 8, has garnered 53 GRPs, up from previous week's 44 GRPs. The relative share of the channel has also moved up from 3.4 per cent to 3.9 per cent.
At No. 9, Star Utsav has registered 41 GRPs with a relative channel share of 3.1 per cent, up from previous week's 37 GRPs and 2.9 per cent share.
At No. 10, DD1's points declined from 45 GRPs to 39 GRPs. The relative share has also dropped from 3.5 per cent to 2.9 per cent.
Zee Smile, at No. 11, has maintained 7 GRPs and 0.5 per cent relative share.
Diya Aur Baati Hum (Star Plus) leads the list of the 10 most-watched programmes, clocking a TVR of 6.56, followed by Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Filmfare Awards 2011 (Star Plus), with TVRs of 4.65 and 4.59, respectively.
Star Plus' Saathiya Saath Nibhana (4.44 TVRs) and Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon (4.18 TVR) took the fourth and fifth positions, respectively. CID from the Sony stable stood at the sixth slot with 3.99 TVRs. Colors' Balika Vadhu, at the seventh position, clocked 3.98 TVRs.
The other shows in the Top 10 list are Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai (3.88 TVR), Pavitra Rishta and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (3.72 TVRs).
