Arunabh Das Sharma promoted as president, BCCL
BCCL will have four new executive presidents in separate verticals - brands function, audiences, supply chain and brand capitals. All the appointments will be effective on an immediate basis.
The company has also promoted four key personnel as executive presidents in separate verticals at the media house.
Rahul Kansal, chief marketing officer, has been appointed executive president, brands function at BCCL. He will be responsible for the expansion of the company in Tier II and III cities.
Mohit Jain, erstwhile director, business and commercials will look after the supply chain vertical as executive president.
Sivakumar Sundaram, CEO, brand capitals, BCCL, who has been with the company for about two decades, is appointed executive president, brand capitals. He will look into the strategic advertising partnership initiative called New Private Treaties.
Lastly, Sanjeev Vohra, director, RMD will work as executive president, audience. He will be responsible for reader interactions through activations and sampling.
All the four executive directors will report to Shrijeet Mishra, COO, BCCL.
Confirming the news to afaqs!, Dhariwal says, "The executive presidents will report to Mishra, who will in turn report to me, while Sharma will report directly to me."
Sharma has about two decades of experience. He started his career as area sales manager in ITC in 1993. After three years, he moved on to Coca-Cola as brand manager. After about two years, in 1997, he shifted to Glaxo SmithKline Consumer Healthcare as marketing manager.
Subsequently, he shifted to Intercept Technologies as CEO in 2000. After a year, Sharma moved to Goodyear India as director, marketing and export sales. He has worked at Whirlpool for about six years, before joining BCCL in 2011.
