Zee back at No. 2; Sony slips to No. 4

Zee TV has climbed to the second position in the top channels' list, on the back of its flagship property, DID Little Masters Season 2. The channel has garnered 233 GRPs, against last week's 218 GRPs. The relative share, too, has gone up from 17.7 per cent to 18.4 per cent, as per TAM data.

For a long time, Zee TV has been shifting places with Sony and Colors amongst the leaders in the general entertainment channel space. Beginning with the Finale of Dance India Dance Season 3 in Week 16, the channel has been riding on the back of this flagship property. The second season of DID Little Masters opened with 5.8 TVR in Week 17, despite IPL 5.

The dance show has been consistently acquiring the top two positions in the list of Top 10 programmes on Hindi GECs. Also, Zee's new fiction shows, Phir Subah Hogi and Punarvivah, have garnered average TVRs of more than 2.

Zee TV has climbed to the second position in the top channels' list, on the back of DID Little Masters Season 2. The channel has garnered 233 GRPs, against last week's 218 GRPs. The relative share, too, has gone up from 17.7 per cent to 18.4 per cent.

Meanwhile, Sony lost 14 GRPs to slip down to No. 4, although CID and Crime Patrol made it to the Top 10 programmes list. The channel has garnered 205 GRPs in Week 22 of 2012, with a channel share of 16.3 per cent (down from last week's 17.8 per cent).

Interestingly, Sony has launched its talent hunt show, Indian Idol's sixth season, on June 1. The show couldn't push the channel further up in the GEC ladder.

Star Plus remains at the top of the ladder with 272 GRPs, up from last week's 266 GRPs. However, the channel has dropped its channel share from 21.6 per cent to 21.5 per cent.

At No. 3, Viacom18's Colors, too, has gained 20 points over the previous week to stand at 221 GRPs in Week 22. The relative share for the channel has also increased from 16.3 per cent in Week 21 to 17.5 per cent in the current week.

Sony's sibling channel SAB TV follows Sony at No. 5, witnessing an increase from 115 GRPs in Week 21 to 121 GRPs. Its relative share, too, went up from 9.3 per cent to 9.6 per cent.

At No. 6, Life OK's GRPs have marginally dropped from 113 GRPs to 112 GRPs in the current week. The channel had a significant drop in the relative share to garner 8.9 per cent.

Sahara One is at No. 7; it has garnered 42 GRPs (up from last week's 41 GRPs) while the channel share has remained stable at 3.3 per cent.

At No. 8, STAR Utsav has garnered a relative share of 3 per cent (with 38 GRPs) against 3.3 per cent (with 41 GRPs) in the previous week.

DD1 and Zee Smile garnered 1 per cent and 0.6 per cent, respectively.

The list of 10 most-watched programmes is led by Diya aur Baati Hum, which clocked a TVR of 5.1. Zee's DID Little Masters Season 2 has taken the second position with 5.03 TVR.

STAR Plus' Saathiya Saath Nibhana is at No. 3 with a TVR of 3.73, followed by Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and CID (Sony) with 3.70 TVR and 3.58 TVR, respectively. These are followed by Balika Vadhu (3.57 TVR) and Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai (3.55 TVR).

Next in the list are Sony's Crime Patrol (3.48 TVR), Colors' Uttaran (3.18 TVR) and Zee TV's Punarvivah (3.11 TVR).
