Naveen Singh joins 9.9 Mediaworx as VP, special projects

Singh's mandate will be to explore new sources of revenue, with an increased focus on international projects. He was country manager, DWA.

Naveen Singh, former country manager of global media agency DWA, has joined 9.9 Mediaworx as vice-president, special projects. This is Singh's second stint at the company. Earlier, he has worked with 9.9 Mediaworx as vice-president, sales and marketing.

Confirming the news to afaqs!, Pramath Raj Sinha, founder and managing director, 9.9 Mediaworx, says, "It is great to have Naveen back in the team. He will be majorly responsible for projects to explore new sources of revenue, with an increased focus on international projects. His mandate in the new role will be to drive business development along with sales."

Commenting on his new role, Singh says, "A major part of the responsibility is to develop international business for all brands and communities of 9.9 Mediaworx. I have handled international business and large expositions in my previous assignments. The key to success is the ability to deliver the qualified audience for a campaign, whether it is for print or online, or in events (small or large formats). I see great opportunity for us as we have highly desirable communities by advertisers and sponsors."

Singh, who has more than 17years' experience with primary focus on maximising sales and marketing, is a graduate in electronics and has completed management studies from IIM Bangalore. Singh began his career as national sales manager with Cyber Media in 1996. After nine years, he moved to IDG Media as vice-president in 2005. Subsequently, he joined 9.9 Mediaworx as vice-president, sales and marketing.

For the record, 9.9 Mediaworx is a media company that has publications such as IT Next, Edu, CFO India and Digit, an end-user computing magazine, among others.
