Gargi Kaul decides to move on from Oye! FM

Gargi Kaul, business head, Oye! 104.8 FM has decided to move on from the organisation. Kaul is currently serving her notice period. The news was confirmed to afaqs! by sources close to the development.

At TV Today, Kaul reported to Ashish Bagga, group CEO.

Kaul has more than 18 years of experience in sales and marketing in the television industry. She has worked for ESPN-STAR Sports, Sony Entertainment Television and Big CBS, among others. Before she joined TV Today, Kaul worked with Big CBS Network as vice-president, sales.

Kaul started her career in 1994 in the print industry. She spent about two years in print and a shorter stint in the radio industry. Later, she moved on to join Sony Entertainment Television as senior manager, ad sales, in 2002.

After a year, she joined Ten Sports as regional manager, ad sales. Her stint at Ten Sports lasted for about five years and she left the company as vice-president, ad sales in 2009. Later, Kaul moved to Dubai Sports City as head of sales. In 2011, she joined Big CBS Networks as vice-president, sales and handled the three channels in its bouquet - Big CBS Spark, Big CBS Love and Big CBS Prime.

In March, 2012, she again entered the radio industry with an aim to explore better opportunities for the channel. During Kaul's tenure, Oye! FM witnessed a growth in revenue and several programming changes which helped the channel climb up the ranking.
