MediaCom gets Sriram Sharma to head South operations

Sharma replaces Anita Mookerjee, who has moved to Jakarta to manage MediaCom's Indonesia office.

MediaCom has roped in Sriram Sharma to head its South operations. Sharma will be based in Bengaluru and will replace Anita Mookerjee, who has moved to Jakarta to manage MediaCom's Indonesia office.

Sharma comes from Starcom, where he was vice-president, Bengaluru.

Speaking about the appointment, DebrajTripathy, MD, MediaCom India, says that Sriram's experience "in Bengaluru and the other markets in the South gives him an added advantage."

To which, Sharma says, "My mandate here is to grow the agency's organic as well as inorganic business. I will also focus on the Dell business, Mediacom's largest account in the South."

Sharma has worked across multiple industries that include advertising, media, internet and mobile. He has more than 14 years of experience in media planning, buying and strategic brand building.

Before StarcomMediaVest Group, Sharma was general manager, Maxus, Bengaluru. Earlier, he was with OnMobile Global, where he worked to launch a new and unique medium - AdRBT, wherein targeted ads (jingles) are played to end consumers. He has managed key account relationships and large-scale projects and holds a post graduate degree in marketing.
