Viacom18's Sandeep Dahiya decides to move on

Sandeep Dahiya, senior vice-president, consumer products and communications, has put in his papers at Viacom18 after a stint of more than eight years.

Dahiya is currently serving his notice period and his last day at Viacom18 will be July 15.

Sudhanshu Vats, group CEO, Viacom18 Media Networks, says, "Over the last many years, Sandeep has passionately led Viacom18's consumer products business and taken it to a respectable position. He's laid a strong foundation in creating eco-systems for our brands outside their core business and we're committed to building on this foundation even further. As he steps out, I wish Sandeep all the very best for his future endeavours."

Dahiya says, "The eight-year phase at Viacom18 has been the most fulfilling and exciting phase of my professional career and I've tremendously enjoyed working on some of the most well-known brands/properties. I've been privileged to have worked with some of the brightest minds here, and would like to thank them for making my journey a memorable one."

Dahiya has more than 18 years of experience. Before joining Viacom18, he was with Genesis Burson-Marsteller. He is credited with growing Viacom18's consumer products business many-folds; today, the business spans across more than 50 categories, with over 60 licensees and a retail presence that spans across India.

Viacom18 consumer products comprises a portfolio of strong brands and properties across demographics, including Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants, Ninja Hattori, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, MTV, Roadies, Southpark, Vh1 and Comedy Central, among others.
