As per data provided by a TAM subscriber (HSM, 4+, C&S, including LC1 markets), the Viacom18 channel grossed 463778 GVTs (gross viewership in thousands) in Week 44 of TAM. The channel had closed the previous week with 423584 GVTs. It is running the seventh season of Salman Khan-hosted Bigg Boss that fetched 5024 TVTs (last week 4587 TVTs) in the week ended November 2 as Anil Kapoor-starrer 24 generated 2755 TVTs (last week 3050 TVTs). Two other shows of the channel have found their places in the top 10 shows' list.

Star Plus too jumped back to its leadership position as it was placed at No. 2 last week. The channel, though, lost numbers, and registered 486066 GVTs (last week 492849 GVTs) in the week. Four of its shows featured in the top shows' list. Its only reality property running on television, Junior Masterchef, clocked 1457 TVTs (last week 1504 TVTs).

Zee TV, at No. 3 now, also lost eyeballs and settled for 434987 GVTs (last week 505442 GVTs). Its newly launched show Bh Se Bhade recorded 2139 TVTs (last week 2856 TVTs). Two of its shows made it to the top shows' chart of Week 44.

At No. 4 is Sony Entertainment Television's younger sibling SAB that concluded the week with 337099 GVTs, as compared to 331674 GVTs in the previous week. The channel as usual witnessed the presence of its popular show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma in the top 10 list.

Life OK, meanwhile, slipped to No.5 as it reflected loss of numbers to round up to 323897 GVTs (last week 334635 GVTs). The channel had aired the maha-episode of Mahadev that registered 4368 TVTs.

The television premiere of Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone-starrer Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani did help Sony fetch eyeballs, albeit not enough to push it up on the Hindi GEC ladder. The movie was aired at 7.30 pm on October 27. Sony added 18326 GVTs to gross 299964 GVTs. Its flagship property, Amitabh Bachchan's Kaun Banega Crorepati 7 got 2436 TVTs (last week 3570 TVTs).

The premiere ratings of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani were possibly affected by the premiere of Life Of Pi and Skyfall on STAR Movies and Sony Pix, respectively. Both the channels had aired the second telecast of the respective movies at 9 pm on October 27 as the first telecast happened during the afternoon on the same day.

Sahara One managed to get 31647 GVTs (last week 36323 GVTs) as STAR Utsav clocked 90202 GVTs (last week 102235 GVTs). Zee Anmol ended the week with 50827 GVTs (last week 52731 GVTs).

Star Plus' Diya Aur Baati Hum continued to be the most watched show on Hindi GECs with average of 10155 TVTs (last week 10367 TVTs). This is followed by Zee TV's Jodha Akbar that fetched 8101 TVTs (last week 8299 TVTs).

The next spot is occupied by Star Plus' Pyaar Ka Dard with 7752 TVTs (last week 7178 TVTs) as SAB TV's Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma clocked 7637 TVTs (last week 8161 TVTs).

At No.5 is Star Plus' Saath Nibhana Saathiya that fetched 7509 TVTs (last week 7474 TVTs). Next is Colors' Balika Vadhu that got 7080 TVTs (last week 7735 TVTs).

The seventh most watched programme on the Hindi GEC space was the television premiere of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani that recorded 6995 TVTs. It was followed by Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai that closed the week with 6986 TVTs (last week 7347 TVTs).

Comedy Nights with Kapil took the ninth spot as it garnered 6631 TVTs (last week 5250 TVTs).

At No.10 is the second episode of Zee TV's flagship dance reality show Dance India Dance. The fourth season was launched on October 26 and registered 6519 TVTs on October 27.

For the record, the figures mentioned are approximate TVT figures. TVT is television viewership in 1000s (TVR in 1000). It is an average number of individuals in '000s that are available at any given minute of a programme/day part that is under consideration. It captures growth in TV audiences in the country in absolute numbers. The TVR system, in contrast, works on percentages.
