This is the second regional offering from PlanetRadiocity after Radio City Tamil that was launched a few months ago.

PlanetRadiocity has launched its new web radio station, Radio City Malayalam that will feature back-to-back Malayalam hits.

Radio City Malayalam is the second regional offering from PlanetRadiocity after Radio City Tamil that was launched a few months ago.

The Malayalam station went live on January 19. It caters to regional music lovers across the internet. The playlist features some of the most popular Malayalam tracks such as EnteEllaamEllaam (MeeshaMadhavan), Chandanacholayil (Sallapam) and Vaathililaavaathilil (Ustad Hotel). Songs of most popular Malayalam movies will also feature in the playlist of the station.

Rachna Kanwar, SVP and business head, digital media and new business, Radio City, says, "Since the time we launched our first regional web radio station, we have been flooded with requests for more regional content on our portal. Internet trends show a great demand for Malayalam tracks all over the world. For us, Radio City Malayalam marks a foray into a hitherto untouched territory - Malayalam music. We hope to touch base with Malayalam music fans all over the world through this effort."

Owned by Music Broadcast, Radio City was started in June 2001 in Bengaluru. Today, Radio City is present in 20 cities across India, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Vadodara, Surat, Sholapur, Nagpur, Sangli, Coimbatore, Vizag, Ahmednagar, Akola, Nanded and Jalgaon.
