Zee TV has grabbed the second position with three of its shows in the top ten list.
As per TAM data (HSM, 4+, C&S, including LC1 markets) provided by a TAM subscriber, Zee TV climbed to the second spot with 467642 GVTs, up from 441173 GVTs that it got last week. Three of its fiction shows featured in the top ten list.
At No. 3 is Colors that lost numbers to close the week with 446579 GVTs (last week 449436 GVTs). The channel could push two of its non-fiction shows in the top 10 list.
Life OK stayed at No. 4 as it notched 386657 GVTs (last week 375035 GVTs) in the week ended February, 1. Following it is SAB with 32313 GVTs, marginally down from 318786 GVTs. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah ranked in the top-ten list.
STAR Utsav followed Sony with 84107 GVTs and Zee Anmol with 65434 GVTs. Sahara One stood last at 39177 GVTs.
Star Plus' Diya Aur Baati Hum retains its position of being the most watched show on Indian television with an average rating of 12909 TVTs in Week 5. It was followed by Zee TV's historical show, Jodha Akbar that gathered 11435 TVTs.
Star Plus' Saathiya Saath Nibhana stood next with 11067 TVTs.
At No. 4 is SAB TV's flagship property, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah that garnered 9657 TVTs, while Colors' non-fiction property Comedy Nights with Kapil was the fifth most watched show in the week with 9440 TVTs.
Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai occupied the sixth spot with 8522 TVTs and Colors' India's Got Talent took the seventh spot with 7732 TVTs.
At No.8 was Star Plus' mythological show - Mahabharat - that registered 7644 TVTs.
Zee TV's Qubool Hai and Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke stood last with 7510 TVTs and 7492 TVTs, respectively.
The above mentioned figures are approximate figures of the shows. For the record, TVT is television viewership in 1000s (TVR in 1000). It is the average number of individuals in '000s that are available at any given minute of a programme/day part that is under consideration. It captures growth in TV audiences in the country in absolute numbers. The TVR system, in contrast, works on percentages.
