Disney India's Shikha Kapur to join Fox Star India
She will join as the company's chief marketing officer and will also head the syndication business.
In addition, she will handle the syndication business, too.
In her last stint, Kapur was leading marketing for studios, broadcasting (youth and movie) and the interactive business at Disney India as vice-president at the company.
Kapur will join Fox Star India on May 15 and report to Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios.
Commenting on her appointment, Singh says, "Shikha has proven herself to be the best marketing professional in the film business in India. A remarkable strategist, innovator and an effective team leader, she has played a critical role in driving a series of successful marketing campaigns that have set new trends in the industry. Her depth of experience along with her relationships in the industry combine wonderfully well with the vision we have of making Fox Star Studios a premiere studio in India. Shikha will work closely with me and the senior management as we embark on this exciting journey."
Kapur comes with more than a decade of experience. She has marketed over 100 films, and conceptualised the marketing campaigns for movies like Chennai Express, Rowdy Rathore, Barfi!, Raajneeti, Rang De Basanti, Dev.D, No one Killed Jessica, Kai Po Che, ABCD, Delhi Belly, Peepli Live, Fashion and Kaminey.
