Dainik Bhaskar ropes in Y C Agarwal

Dainik Bhaskar has roped in Y C Agarwal as part of the core editorial team of the Bihar and Jharkhand editions that forms a significant growth region for the group. He has joined the group as managing editor of Bihar and Jharkhand.

Agarwal brings with him 42 years of experience in the Indian media industry. Before joining Dainik Bhaskar, in his earlier assignments, he was overall in-charge of Hindustan Media Ventures in leadership roles for the states of Bihar, Jharkhand and UP.

He joined HT Media in May 1999, but was associated with the launch of Patna Hindustan and Hindustan Times since its inception in 1986 as chief executive of Searchlight Publishing House.

He looked after the operations of Bihar and Jharkhand and was responsible for its market leadership and expansion across the region. In his journey with HT, Agarwal has established the Varanasi edition of Hindustan.

Agarwal has a B.Sc. degree in statistics and an M.B.A in marketing from Allahabad University. He also holds a degree in Law from Lucknow University.
