Colors, the Viacom18 Hindi general entertainment channel, has regained the third spot in the week 24 of TAM.

The channel was overtaken by Star India's Life OK in week 22. As per TAM data (HSM, C&S, 4+), provided by a subscriber, Colors registered 365827 GVTs, as opposed to 349916 GVTs in week 23. Its comedy non-fiction has appeared in the genre's top shows' list.

Meanwhile, Life OK shed around 51114 GVTs to end the week with 319452. The channel had notched higher numbers in the previous two weeks, helped by the telecast of Life OK Now Awards and Salman Khan-starrer Jai Ho.

Star Plus maintains the lead in the genre with 625842 GVTs in week 24. The channel had garnered 647073 GVTs in the previous week. Seven of its shows continue to remain in the most watched shows list of the genre.

Zee TV lost marginal numbers but held on to the second spot. The channel concluded the week with 375662 GVTs, as compared to 382949 GVTs in the previous week.

At No.5 and No.6 are Multi Screen Media's Sony Entertainment Television and Sab TV, respectively. SET grossed 300118 GVTs in the week (last week 313012) as Sab TV settled with 286993 GVTs (last week 261401). Sab TV managed to push one of its shows to the top shows' chart.

Sahara One and Zee Anmol ended the week with 17843 GVTs (last week 21294) and 65919 GVTs (last week 70721), respectively.

Star Plus' Diya Aur Baati Hum ruled the roost of the top programmes in the Hindi GECs with 9361 TVTs. It was followed by Zee TV's Jodha Akbar that fetched 7736 TVTs.

The next four spots are occupied by Star Pus' Saathiya Saath Nibhana (6856 TVTs), Mahabharat (6472 TVTs), Yeh hai Mohabbatein (6263 TVTs) and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (6185 TVTs).

At No. 7 is SAB's Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, which notched 6159 TVTs during the week.

Next is Comedy Nights with Kapil (Colors) that scored 5582 TVTs.

Star Plus' Veera (5503 TVTs) and Pyaar Ka dard (5326 TVTs) occupy the last two positions in the chart.

For the record, TVT is television viewership in 1000s (TVR in 1000). It is the average number of individuals in '000s that are available at any given minute of a programme/day part under consideration. It captures growth in TV audiences in the country in absolute numbers. The TVR system, in contrast, works on percentages.
