Channel V, the youth entertainment from Star India stable, is launching the fourth season of its highly acclaimed show, Gumrah - End Of Innocence. Starting August 31, the show will air every Sunday at 1 pm.
Gumrah will be hosted by Bollywood actor Abhay Deol who, in turn, will be accompanied by a celebrity in each episode. According to the channel, the young actor has been in a number of roles that often have young people associate with, making him an apt choice for Gumrah.
Every hour-long episode in the new season will train the spotlight on a celebrity who will talk of a teen crime story that he/she experienced or witnessed in the course of their lives. Ajit Thakur - EVP and business head for Channel V says, "The show is about the youth, their tryst with crime and the circumstances which led to the incident, rather than sensationalising the crime or the criminal himself." Gumrah was first launched in March 2012. Within two years, the show emerged as one of most popular crime series on TV.
