Maxus announces new appointments in West and South

Monaz Todywalla joins Mumbai as GM while Kishankumar Shyamalan gets promoted to a similar role in Bengaluru.

Maxus has announced two new appointments in their Mumbai and Bengaluru offices. The leading media planning agency is strengthening its regional teams in the West and South after winning 23 new accounts across the country.

In Mumbai, Maxus appointed Monaz Todywalla as general manager. Todywalla, with her experience across categories such as FMCG, BFSI, Retail and Confectionery, will be heading client teams for Vodafone, L'Oreal, HDFC Life and Kotak. She will report to Anand Chakravarthy, head, West in the Mumbai office.

Todywalla comes from Madison Communications, where she worked on Marico Industries, Asian Paints, Kaya and Sleek. Having been featured in Brand Equity as one of Media's Leading Creative Minds under 30, Todywalla began her career at Lodestar working on brands such as Amul and SC Johnson.

Meanwhile, in the southern region, Kishankumar Shyamalan has been elevated to general manager in Bengaluru. In his erstwhile role as client leader, Shyamalan was the lead for the Tata Global Beverages campaign and the key architect of the 'Power of 49' campaign. He will be reporting to Sanchayeeta Verma, managing partner, Maxus South India and South Asia.

An alumni of MICA and SMC College of Dairy Science, Shyamalan has also led media teams for Titan Industries, Wipro and the Maxus Kerala office. He has been involved with all of Maxus pitches in the south in the last 6 years and has led the geographical expansion for the agency in the south.

In the last six months, Maxus won 23 new accounts, adding Rs 300 crore to the agency's billing. These include JK Tyres, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Unitech, PayTM, Askme.com, ICC T20 World Cup 2014, Cigna TTK Health Insurance, Musafir.com and BML Educorp.
